Mystery cartoon

I saw this short cartoon around the year 2000. The main character was a duck and he was in a forest. A squirrel approaches him and says "I'll give you 2 dollars if you collect nuts and put them in this tree stump." The duck accepts and after he collects his pay he walks to a booth in the forest. In the booth is a store that sells two things: whiskey and shotguns. Whiskey sells for 1 dollar and shotguns sell for five dollars. The duck buys whiskey with one dollar and saves the other dollar. He gets drunk and passes out, only to wake up the next day and receive the same offer of employment from the squirrel. The duck repeats the process over and over, saving a dollar each day, until finally he approaches the store with 5 dollars. He then buys the gun and kills himself. The cartoon ends abruptly.

This cartoon is the only practical thing I have ever been unable to find with Google. Sure there are questions like "What is the meaning of life?" that can't be answered by a search engine, but I would think that with a cartoon only about 8 years old I would be able to turn up some info. The holy grail would be a Youtube clip of the full cartoon, But I'd settle for the name of the show or the name of the creator. I think it was shown on MTV but I'm not sure, all I have is a vague memory of watching it. I'm not even sure if the character was a duck or the exact dollar amounts in the story.

If you have any information on this cartoon please post a comment.
